Adenium Boehmianum

by kaowinston @ 2006-11-13 - 19:15:14

This is a photo of a plant which I have had for more than three years.  Six weeks ago I came back from a holiday on the continent to find the plant infested with spider mite, and all the leaves had turned yellow.  I had no alternative but to strip the plant of all the leaves, and assumed it would stay defoliated till spring.

Imagine my surprise when about two weeks later a young shoot produced itself, later followed by a young bud.  It is the first flowers for this plant, the only adenium boehmianum that I own.  It makes me proud to see it.  And I certainly look forward to growing some
more.
